A consultant and political analyst for over 15 years. Rodrigo has collaborated with academic and government institutions, national and international think tanks, and civil society organizations in several projects, ranging from public safety to the environment. He loves using both quantitative and qualitative tools to analyze information aimed at making strategic decisions. Also, Rodrigo has held diverse roles and positions in government agencies, such as Segob, Cisen, SEDESOL and the IFE. Additionally, he worked as an analyst at GEA-Consultores, and was an assistant professor at CIDE. He has given lectures, workshops and courses at many institutions, including the ITAM and the Escuela Superior Militar. He has a bachelor’s degree in Political Science by the ITAM and a master’s degree by the New School for Social Research (NSSR), where he specialized in Comparative Politics in Latin America. Rodrigo loves traveling and has two children and three dogs.
Cristina has worked in several positions both in the public and private sectors for over 15 years. During this period she has provided advice, consultancy and analysis both to national and international organizations to envisage risk scenarios, legislative advocacy strategies, and national security issues. Likewise, she has given several training courses for policy analysis, legislative process and crime statistics in public and private organizations. Cristina contributed research for the book “La mentada estrategia” and helped with the editing process, along with Alejandro Hope and Jaime Lopez Aranda. She is a Political Scientist from the ITAM and has a master’s degree in International Affairs by the Institut d’Études Politiques de Paris (Sciences Po-Paris), where she specialized in National Security.
For the past 10 years, Rolando has devoted himself to study transnational organized crime networks and to analyze high-impact crimes and terrorism. He has vast experience in designing and implementing crime-prevention policies worldwide, like he did at the International Centre for the Prevention of Crime (ICPC) in Canada, where he coordinated a team of researchers in several projects aimed at preventing crime throughout the world. His key areas of analysis include Drug Trafficking and Regulation, National Security and Political Economy of Crime. He is currently an Assistant Professor of Security and Criminology at Macquarie University in Australia. Rolando has a PhD in Sociology and an MA in Latin American Studies by the University of Oxford (UK) and a bachelors’s degree in Political Science by the Universidad Iberoamericana, Mexico.
Edwin analyzes energy, legislative and security data, and has more than 10 years of experience in formulating social risk scenarios, doing research and negotiation. He worked for over 6 years in the Energy sector, Pemex and the Ministry of Energy. Edwin has also been in charge of social bonding and liaison with civil organizations in election campaigns. He has been an Energy and Security lobbyist specialized in protecting the rights of children and fighting human trafficking. He is a lawyer and an engineer, which enables him to have a creative approach to solve problems.
Sara is a policy expert in social matters and political communication. She is also experienced in implementing public sector programs within government agencies, such as SEDESOL, Seguro Popular, IMSS, the Ministry of Health, the Health Care Services of the State of Guerrero and the Ministry of Public Education. She has a bachelor’s degree in Political Science by the Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de Mexico. She graduated with honors. Sara has postgraduate diplomas in both Public Policy from a Gender Perspective, by the Facultad Lationamericana de Ciencias Sociales (FLACSO), and Political Communication, by the Universidad Autónoma de México (UAM).
Involved in fishing and sharks since 2000, he has been a diver since 1994. He has a degree in Oceanology and a Master of Science in Marine Ecology, being the first Mexican to carry out studies of marking and movement of mako shark with satellite technology; He is currently pursuing a doctorate in Sciences in Coastal Oceanography, where he develops a predictive model that integrates environmental and biological factors to determine the population trajectory of the red hedgehog, under different scenarios of climate and fishing change.
He is a specialist in oceanography, marine ecology, fisheries science, satellite images, geographic information systems and R. He was a research coordinator at the National Fisheries Institute in Ensenada and responsible for the area of Biology during the first two cruises of the Vessel of BIPO research; as well as the Pacific giant squid fishery. In addition, he was head of the Department of Development and Management in the Secretariat of Fisheries and Aquaculture of Baja California. When he’s not out at sea, he plays ukulele (tries) and makes craft beer to enjoy at home.
He has developed professionally for more than 20 years in the exercise of the public function and in popularly elected positions. He is a specialist in environmental public management and links between social organizations and the 3 levels of government in water matters. He has extensive experience in the design and execution of public policies oriented to the water sector and the preservation of the environment.
He has studies in political science from the Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México. Along with his collaboration with HUMINT, he is Executive Director of the Mexican Institute of Appropriate Technologies. He is also a restaurant entrepreneur in his spare time and enjoys handmade tortillas from the Cofre de Perote (Veracruz).
Expert in the development and implementation of Quality Management Systems, a leading auditor certified in ISO 19011, he has held managerial positions in the private sector. He has been at the forefront of academic institutions where he carried out various types of management, highlighting among them international collaboration agreements with the University of Pádova and with the University of Matanzas and nationally with PEMEX. He has also managed at the three different levels of Government. He collaborator of the Mexican Institute of Appropriate Technologies (IMETA). INFONAVIT consultant on the subject of quality housing and Ecotechnologies.
Political scientist from ITAM, with a diploma in Data Analysis for Social Sciences, from the University of Essex, England. She is a fan of open data and is currently studying for a master’s degree in big data and visualization.
She has published several articles on public finance, transparency and accountability. She was Director of Research and Analysis at the Secretariat of Public Function (SFP) and advisor to the Undersecretary of Control and Audit of Public Management at the same institution; She is the head of the Division of Studies and Statistical Processes of the Mexican Institute of Social Security (IMSS), as well as Deputy Director of Community Learning Centers in the Secretariat of Social Development of the Federal Government (SEDESOL).
In her spare time she likes to run, swim and watch movies.
